God Keep Our Land ( Canada Day )
July 1st, 2018
On Canada day, pastor Eric shared about the power of intercessory prayer. The simplest way to understand Intercessory Prayer is “Going to the Father in prayer on behalf of someone else”.
It’s like standing in the gap as explained in Ezekiel 22:30 “I looked for a man among them who would build up the wall and stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land so I would not have to destroy it, but I found none”.
As Christians, we should consider it an honour and duty to be able to stand in the gap for those who are unable, for whatever reason, to pray for themselves.
God has chosen intercession as a means to release His power now and forever. Jesus was someone who interceded on our behalf. He was perfect and yet He was crucified. And while on the cross He prayed on our behalf “forgive them Father, for they know not what they do”
In today’s sermon, we are encouraged to pray on the behalf of others. Pray boldly and expectantly.
