8 Questions you should know about the content before your group meets.

Here is a list of questions you should know about the content before your Connection Group meets:

1-What was the message about?

What are the topics, title, main points, main verses, applications shared?

2-Why does this topic/message matter today?

Why is it important for believers today to understand this passage or the main points of the message?

3-What does this mean? What is the application?

Sometimes, people leave the Sunday service not fully understanding every part that was shared. Understanding what the message and passages presented means is vital to getting a good understanding on the topic/text and encourages application. What are the takeaways, what should I be doing with what I just learned. Spurgeon once said : You get what you preached for… What are you asking me to do?

4-What would be some of the common challenges for the average person?

Try to enumerate what challenges would be in the way of those applications. What are some of the questions the members in my group would have in this regard?

5-What are some of the reasons people (maybe we) don’t do what was talked about?

Identifying these reasons can help see where people are in the progression of growth. What is getting in the way from applying what was taught?

6-How can we practically do what he’s talking about?

After knowing what we know now, how does the Bible say we should go about practicing it?

7-What can happen to us if we choose not to practice what was talked about?

What are the consequences of not following through with this? 

8-What can happen to us if we choose to practice what was talked about?

What are the benefits of following through with this?
