The Rice Lake U.S. customary (also referred to as English and avoirdupois), cast iron, slotted and interlocking counterpoise test weight is designed for use with counterpoise balances with weight hangers (not included). Painted cast iron weight has a chip-resistant paint that is corrosion-resistant and conforms to NIST Handbook 105-1 standards. A sealable adjusting cavity allows the weight to be fractionally adjusted to meet individual specifications.
