On Sunday September 8th Nancy shared a message called: “Wake Up”.
The message began in the book of Mark with Jesus in the garden of Gethsemane the night He was betrayed. Multiple times Jesus asked His disciples to keep watch, wake up and pray. Why? “So that you will not fall into temptation!”
As Christians, we have to ask ourselves, if Jesus came back today, would I be found asleep? We looked at three points that help us to determine if we are asleep:
1) Oblivious to our surroundings
2) Sleep walking
3) Wearing our pyjamas
Romans 13:11b-14 “The hour has already come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. 12 The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armour of light. 13 Let us behave decently, as in the daytime, not in carousing and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and debauchery, not in dissension and jealousy. 14 Rather, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the flesh.”
